Antisoma Research Plc 
Antisoma is a cancer-focused biotechnology company specialising in the development of novel anti-cancer drugs. Antisoma highlights include a 5-year collaboration agreement with Roche, the acquisition of Aptamera Inc. and partnering ASA404 with Novartis. Click here to find out more.

Chroma Therapeutics Ltd 
Chroma Therapeutics was founded to exploit the potential of chromatin biology for cancer drug discovery. The company is focused on the identification of novel anti-cancer agents that combine the efficacy of cytotoxics with the tumour cell selectivity of modern targeted therapeutics. Crusade Laboratories Ltd 
Crusade Laboratories is focused on the development of herpes simplex virus (HSV) for the treatment of cancer. Their lead agent HSV1716 has entered Phase III clinical trials. Click here to find out more.
Cytosystems Ltd 
Cytosystems Ltd develops advanced, laboratory-based diagnostic tests for cancer which are aimed at replacing invasive, distressing and expensive endoscopic test procedures like cystoscopy. KuDOS Pharmaceuticals Ltd 
KuDOS Pharmaceuticals holds a leading position in the discovery and development of drugs based upon the science of DNA damage sensing, signaling and repair to address unmet medical needs in cancer treatment. KuDOS was acquired by AstraZeneca for $210m in 2006.
MISSION Therapeutics Ltd
Based in Cambridge, UK, this new (August 2011) spin-out company will translate cutting-edge cell biology research on DNA repair from Professor Jackson’s laboratory at the Gurdon Institute, University of Cambridge, into drugs that will markedly improve the management of life-threatening diseases, particularly cancer. PETRRA is a start-up company that was created to make and develop a new type of PET (Positron Emission Tomography) scanner. The PETRRA scanner differs from currently available technology in the nature of its detectors and signal processing and offers significant technological and cost advantages.
PIramed Ltd
PIramed's principal target focus is the superfamily of lipid kinases, exemplified by phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3-kinase), for the treatment of cancer and other diseases. Acquired by Roche in 2008.
Pharminox Ltd
Pharminox is an emerging UK company focused on the discovery and development of novel small molecule drugs for the treatment of cancer. Phortress, the lead candidate from Pharminox’s most-advanced programme, is a Cytochrome P450 (CYP) - activated agent.
Proacta Inc. 
Proacta is an oncology drug discovery company targeting tumour hypoxia, a condition that exists in the majority of solid tumours. Proacta's lead drug in development (PR104) is being evaluated in a phase I/II clinical trial in patients with relapsed or recurrent Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Click here to find out more.

Spirogen Ltd 
Spirogen is a company pioneering the discovery and development of a unique class of low molecular weight sequence-specific DNA-interactive drugs designed to treat gene-mediated diseases.
