Relevance: Pancreatic islet cells are clusters of endocrine cells scattered throughout the tissue of the pancreas that secrete inslulin and glucagon.  The antigen defined by this antibody is highly specific for pancreatic islet cells and may be useful for diagnosis of insuloma
