| Antigen: |
Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR); Her1. Recognises external domain. |
| Relevance: |
The EGFR family of type
I growth factor receptor tyrosine kinases includes EGFR
(HER1), c-erbB2 (HER2; neu), c-erbB3 (HER3) and c-erbB4
(HER4). EGFR is overexpressed in many
common solid human squamous cell carcinomas. A cell
surface molecule (175kDa MW) which can be specifically
cross-linked to EGF, exhibits an EGF-stimulated protein
kinase activity and is coded for by a gene on human
chromosome 7. |
