Northern Institute for Cancer Research, Newcastle (NICR)
The Cancer Research UK Developmental Therapeutics Programme is a key component of the NICR, and it aims to develop improved treatments for adult and paediatric cancer, including haematological malignancies, through the identification of new drugs and the individualization of therapies. Paterson Institute for Cancer Research, Manchester (PICR)
The goal of the Paterson Institute for Cancer Research is to gain a better understanding of the molecular basis of cancer through a number of basic research programmes and to translate this knowledge into improvements in the diagnosis, clinical management and prevention of cancer and the development of innovative therapies.
