If you work for a Cancer Research UK funded Research Institute:
CRT staff are bound by the terms of Confidentiality Agreements with the research establishments they work with. Consequently, scientists who work at these establishments can openly discuss their discoveries with CRT Business Managers.
If you think you have an idea or discovery with commercial potential please contact us. Any general queries about invention disclosures, commercialisation and intellectual property should also be directed to the CRT Business Management team who will guide you through the appropriate course of action.
If you are a scientist at a non-Cancer Research UK funded Research Institute:
Want to discuss the patentability of new invention? Your first action will be to contact your local technology transfer office as a confidentiality agreement will be required. If you intend to disclose an invention in the near future (e.g. at a conference or in a scientific journal), you should talk to your representative immediately to ensure that the intellectual property is protected.
Interested in applying for funding? We can put you in touch with the Discovery Committee and assist you through the application process.
